THE REFORMERS get started on THE TURN!

THE REFORMERS are holding auditions for their fall show The Turn!

About the piece: The Turn is an adaptation of Henry James’ novella Turn of the Screw. It is the story of a woman hired to look after two children in a remote house. Ghosts show up. Things get freaky after that. The show will start rehearsals at the end of August 2014 and open October 2nd running Thursday through Sundays closing on October 25th.

Who we are looking for:

The Governess – female lead 30ish
The housekeeper – female 30s-60s
Male ghost – good with movement, 30s-40s
Female ghost – good with movement, 30s-40s

Men and Women who are familiar with movement are encouraged to submit. Full week rehearsals begin in September. There will be a stipend provided.

Who we are: THE REFORMERS are Charmian Creagle (director), Sean Doran (playwright) and Richard E. Moore (sound design). Our guest artist is Caitlin Fisher-Draeger (co-director and design). We have done two shows over the past two years, The Possessions of la boite and last year’s thrilling The Revenants.

When and Where: June 17th and 18th 7:30 – 9:30pm. Callbacks will be June 22nd 4 – 7:00pm. Location TBD.

If you’re interested please send a headshot and resume to outsidelaboite@gmail.com with what date you are interested in attending. Due to time considerations we won’t be able to see everyone who submits. Thanks!

The Revenants by Scott T. Barsotti

The reviews are in!  People are raving – as one audience member so appropriately described it as ‘a haunted house with a plot.’  Read the reviews here and here.

The Revenants are here.  What would you do for the ones you love?

The Reformers are pleased to announce the Pacific Northwest premiere of The Revenants by Scott T. Barsotti. The Revenants tells the story of two couples who hole up in a garage at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse.  The play will be performed in an actual garage adding to the realism and terrifying action of the play.  Seating will be limited, reservations are highly recommended.  It’s the perfect show to put you in the Halloween spirit.

The Revenants features Chris Murray*, Christy Bigelow, Jennifer Elkington and Sean Doran.  It is directed by Charmian Creagle.  Sound design is by Drammy award winner Richard E. Moore.

TICKETS ARE $15 AT THE DOOR OR YOU CAN PURCHASE THEM ONLINE HEREEMAIL US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!

We are also running an Indiegogo campaign to help fund the show.  Check it out!
